A Holistic Patient-Centered Approach

Melissa Chacara is an experienced Nurse Practitioner with over 27 years in the medical field, including 19 years as a registered nurse and 6 years as an Aesthetic Injector. As the founder of Bella Rejuvenation Aesthetics & Wellness and an Aesthetic Medical Director, Melissa specializes in Medical Aesthetic treatments and Integrative Hormone Management, blending science and holistic care to help her patients feel their best inside and out.

Melissa's journey to becoming an Integrative Provider began when she battled her own hormonal issues. Initially treated with conventional medicine, she later embraced an alternative solution, no longer needing conventional prescriptions, and discovered the transformative power of a naturopathic regimen. Alongside this alternative approach to healing, she also recognized the importance of emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being and their impact on the physical body. This deeper understanding led her to fully embrace the significance of a holistic approach to healing, inspiring her to help others achieve genuine wellness.

During her Nurse Practitioner schooling, Melissa dedicated clinical time with an endocrinologist to expand her knowledge in hormonal health. After graduating, she pursued further education in both Traditional Medicine, Functional Medicine, and Naturopathic approaches to hormonal therapy. Committed to an Integrative approach to healing, she actively engages in multiple professional academies and groups to further expand her skill set as an Integrative Provider.

Now, Melissa combines aesthetic techniques with personalized hormone therapies, offering comprehensive care that rejuvenates both appearance and vitality. Her approach integrates holistic assessment, functional testing, and individualized integrative treatment plans to uncover root causes and create tailored solutions for each patient. With a holistic, patient-centered philosophy, she empowers patients to enhance beauty and achieve optimal well-being through customized treatments designed to inspire confidence and rejuvenate balance.

General

  • Neuromodulators are injectable treatments that temporarily relax the muscles responsible for wrinkles and fine lines by blocking nerve signals. This smooths wrinkles caused by facial expressions.

  • Item descriptionCommon areas include:

    • ο»ΏForehead lines

    • ο»ΏCrow's feet (around the eves)

    • ο»ΏFrown lines (between the eyebrows)

    • ο»ΏBunny lines (on the nose)

    • ο»ΏJawline slimming or TMJ relief

  • Item descriptionNot at all. Our goal at Bella Rejuvenation Aesthetics & Wellness is natural-looking results that soften lines while allowing facial expressions.

  • Possible side effects include mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site, which typically resolve within a few days.

  • The amount of product that is needed will vary based on many factors: age, skin type, depth of lines or amount of volume loss, and amount of muscle movement. Every person is unique and our goal is to naturally enhance your beauty.

  • Item descriptionNeuromodulators on average last 90 days. Dermal fillers can range anywhere from several months up to a year or longer. Duration of product does vary based on dosage and how your body metabolizes the product.

  • No, neuromodulators will not make your wrinkles worse if you stop.  If one does not continue with their treatments, they will eventually get back to their baseline prior to their treatment and continue to develop wrinkles with the normal aging process.

  • When a needle punctures the skin, you are most likely going to feel it. However, we do take measures to reduce any discomfort during treatments. Distraction techniques and numbing can be offered to reduce discomfort.

  • We love our workouts too! It is recommended that you avoid strenuous exercise or activities for the first 24-48 hours after treatment with injectables to encourage healing and to prevent further swelling and/or bruising.

  • It can take a few days for neuromodulators to begin to take effect, with full effect reached at 14 days. With dermal fillers the results are immediate, however, your β€œfinal” results may take a couple weeks as the swelling goes down and the filler settles. A two-week follow-up appointment is recommended. This will allow our provider to assess your results and to revisit aesthetic goals.

Neuromodulators (Botox/Dysport)

  • Dermal fillers are gel-like substances injected beneath the skin to restore volume, enhance contours, or smooth lines. Most are made of hyaluronic v id, a substance

    naturally found in the body.

  • It depends on the type of filler and the area treated. Results can last 6-18 months, with some fillers lasting up to 2 years.

  • Yes, when perform by a skilled injector.

  • Most fillers contain lidocaine to minimize discomfort, and numbing cream can be applied beforehand.

  • Dermal fillers are considered non-invasive with minimal downtime. It is important to remember, any time a needle is used there is the risk for bruising and swelling. For this reason, we always recommend getting filler done at least 2-4 weeks prior to any major events or special occasions to allow healing time and for the product to settle in.

  • Common side effects include swelling, redness, and bruising at the injection site.

Rare risks include lumps or vascular occlusion, which is why choosing an experienced injector is critical.

Dermal Fillers

  • Microneedling uses tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production.

This improves texture, skin tone, and overall skin quality.

    • Fine lines and wrinkles

    • ο»ΏAcne scars

    • ο»ΏStretch marks

    • ο»ΏHyperpigmentation

    • ο»ΏEnlarged pores

    • ο»ΏOverall skin rejuvenation

  • A numbing cream is applied before treatment, so discomfort is minimal. Most patients describe it as a mild prickling sensation.

  • While some improvement can be seen after one session, a series of 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is typically recommended for optimal results.

  • Skin may appear red, similar to a mild sunburn, for 24-72 hours. There may also be slight swelling or peeling. You can usually resume regular activities within a day.

  • es! Microneedling pairs well with treatments like PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin), or chemical peels for enhanced results.

Microneedling

  • Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a natural treatment derived from your own blood.

After a blood draw, the sample is spun in a centrifuge to isolate a concentrated layer of platelets and fibrin. PRF promotes healing and collagen production when injected or applied to the skin.

    • PRF can:

      • ο»ΏReduce fine lines and wrinkles

      • ο»ΏStimulate collagen production

      • ο»ΏImprove skin texture and elasticity

      • ο»ΏEnhance under-eye hollows (tear troughs)

      • ο»ΏSupport hair restoration

  • Unlike PRP, PRF is spun at a lower speed, which preserves more white blood cells, stem cells, and fibrin matrix. This results in a slower release of growth factors, leading to longer-lasting and more natural rejuvenation.

  • Yes, PRF is extremely safe because it is 100% natural and made from your own blood, minimizing the risk of allergic reactions or adverse effects.

  • Initial results are typically visible within 4-6 weeks, with continued improvement as collagen rebuilds over the following months.

  • Minor swelling, redness, or bruising may occur at the injection site, but these typically resolve within a few days.

PRF

  • PRF Gel is a natural filler made from your own blood. It is created by heating Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) to form a gel-like consistency, which is then injected to restore volume and improve skin quality.

    • Under-eye hollows (tear troughs)

    • ο»ΏFine lines and wrinkles

    • ο»ΏVolume loss in the cheeks or nasolabial folds

    • ο»ΏAcne scars or other skin irregularities

  • PRF Gel is completely natural and biocompatible, as it is made from your own blood. While traditional fillers provide immediate volume, PRF Gel stimulates collagen and elastin production for more gradual and natural-looking results.

  • Results from PRF Gel can last 6-12 months, depending on the area treated and your body's natural response.

  • After a simple blood draw, the PRF is processed into a gel and injected into the target areas. The procedure typically takes 45-60 minutes and has minimal downtime.

  • Because PRF Gel is derived from your own blood, there is minimal risk of allergic reaction. Some clients may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising, which resolves within a few days.

  • Yes! PRF Gel can complement treatments like microneedling, dermal fillers, or neuromodulators for enhanced results.
